Ogun Afrobeat is the first Spanish afrobeat band from an authentic Yoruba culture. The leader of the band Akin Dimeji Onas, originally from Lagos (Nigeria), is one of the best African drummers in Spain. He’s accompanied by powerful rhythmic and brass.

Ogun makes the difference by the originality of the traditional rhythms of the Yoruba culture mixed with other African rhythms, funk, disco and soul but always respecting the spirit of Fela Anikulapo Kuti’s music. On stage, the intensity and strength they play with is simply stunning.

Listening to Ogun is listening to James Brown singing Fela Kuti, is feeling the Fuji and High Life rhythms mixed up with Funk and Soul harmonies. All this led by the voice and drums of Akin Onas. You will be dancing from the beginning to the end.
